Canvas, the University’s enterprise learning management system, may experience brief interruptions to the New Quizzes module during maintenance beginning Thursday, Nov. 13, at 3 a.m., and lasting for up to 1 hour.

This maintenance, performed by the vendor (Instructure) will optimize the database. This is not a full Canvas outage, but rather the New Quizzes component may have issues or outages during the 1-hour window. Users may experience a disruption due to a database restart during the maintenance.

Pitt Digital will be monitoring the process, and in the event of any significant changes or delays, updates will be posted to https://status.pitt.edu. This maintenance is part of our efforts to ensure continued security, stability, and reliability of the Canvas service.
