New logins to University services may be briefly unavailable for up to three minutes this evening while Pitt Digital performs network maintenance. Individuals who are already logged in to University services during this period will not be affected.
This maintenance is necessary to help mitigate two new critical security vulnerabilities in PHP, the programming language behind many websites. In the unlikely event an issue arises, the system will be reverted to its original configuration, and an update will be posted to status.pitt.edu. The system will be returned to service earlier if the maintenance work is completed ahead of schedule.
