To resolve an issue affecting Cognos, the University’s tool for enterprise reporting and ad hoc data querying, Pitt Information Technology will restart the system during an emergency maintenance period from 12:20 to 1:20 p.m. today.

Users will not be able to access Cognos while maintenance is in progress, and jobs scheduled to run during the maintenance period will not be completed. Cognos will be returned to service earlier if work is completed ahead of schedule. Updates will be posted to status.pitt.edu.
