PittNet VPN (Pulse Secure) will be upgraded during scheduled maintenance beginning at 11 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27. Users will be able to connect while maintenance is in progress, but their connections might be briefly interrupted during the maintenance period.
Once the maintenance is complete, users will be prompted to upgrade the Pulse Desktop Client the next time they log in. The prompt will display each time a user logs in until the client is updated. Updating to this version of Pulse Secure is optional, but doing so provides users with the most updated and reliable version.
As a reminder, most University resources can be accessed remotely without PittNet VPN. Refer to these guidelines on when PittNet VPN is and is not needed to access University resources: https://www.technology.pitt.edu/blog/vpnremote
