Pitt Worx, the University’s human resource and payroll system, will have some functionality (such as the Employee Pay slip feature) unavailable this Saturday, April 5, from 6–10 p.m. while Pitt Information Technology performs system maintenance. Other functions—such as timecards, benefits, and address changes—will be available during this time.
This maintenance is necessary to provide Pitt Worx the latest security certificates. The maintenance period was scheduled by Pitt IT in consultation with Office of Human Resources. Those who need to submit timecards for the week of March 30–April 5 should plan to do so before or after the outage period. As a reminder, timecards must be submitted and approved by noon on Monday, April 7.
To ensure a smooth transition, Pitt IT has completed checks to ensure that the system is ready for the update and will monitor progress while performing the work. In the event that an issue or problem arises, the system will be reverted to its original configuration and Pitt IT will post an update to https://status.pitt.edu/.
Please call the Technology Help Desk at +1-412-624-HELP (4357) if you experience any issues related to this maintenance. This effort is being led by John Scifo, Pitt IT’s HCM Solutions Manager.
For questions about using Pitt Worx, please submit an inquiry the Office of Human Resources at https://hr.pitt.edu/contact-ohr.
