Scheduled
Students remaining in University residences during Spring Break will need to connect to a temporary wireless network named ResNet (Resident Wi-Fi).
Boldyn Networks — Pitt Digital’s partner and vendor for MyResNet — will be performing maintenance over Spring Break to help ensure the continued reliability and performance of residential Wi-Fi services. The MyResNet-5G and MyResNet-6G networks will not be available during the maintenance period.
What Students Need to Know
• Maintenance will begin at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, and conclude at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10. • All devices — including laptops, gaming consoles, smart TVs, and phones — must connect to the ResNet (Resident Wi-Fi) network for internet access during the maintenance period. • Devices that rely on Personal Area Network wireless services — such as wireless printing, casting to a device, and controlling smart lighting — will be unavailable during the maintenance period. • Devices should automatically reconnect to MyResNet-5G or MyResNet-6G network once maintenance is complete. If your device does not automatically reconnect, restarting it should resolve the issue. • Access to Eduroam will remain available throughout the maintenance period.
