Scheduled
Panopto—the service provider for Lecture Capture—will be upgraded by the vendor from 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 26, until 1 a.m. on Sunday, June 27. Users will not be able to access recordings or upload new videos during the maintenance period.

The following changes to Panopto are expected to provide a more intuitive user experience:

• Functionality for content creators to moderate discussions for live webcasts and on-demand videos, as well as toggle public and private settings for all discussion posts, replies, comments, and threads
• User sharing experience adds ability to include video sharing based on timestamp information, as well as social media sharing options for “Public” access content
• Drag-and-drop clips to arrange and rearrange them using timeline editor

Once the upgrade is complete, Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11) will no longer be supported, in line with the University’s previously announced requirement to use more recent browser versions to access web-based University services. You can learn more about the upgrade on Panopto’s support page.

New Panopto features may not function properly in IE 11 and the vendor will no longer fix IE 11 issues. Panopto recommends the use of Microsoft Edge as a possible replacement for IE 11. Additional Information about Panopto’s decision is available on Panopto's support site.
